Mason Mitchell Looks Forward to First Foray Off Asphalt

(MOORESVILLE, NC)Aug 14, 2013 Mason Mitchell and the #82 Happy Cheeks Ford Fusion will head off the asphalt and to the clay this weekend as he runs the Allen Crowe 100 at the Illinois State Fairgrounds. Mason and the Empire Racing crew come to Illinois after a pole and a 5th place finish at Berlin and 6th in points in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards championship points standings.

When asked if he had any qualms about heading to the dirt track, Mason replied "I am actually excited to make my dirt racing debut. I have never raced on dirt before and am looking forward to the challenge. I have no question that Jamie Jones and everyone at Empire Racing will give me a fabulous car".

Teammate Sean Corr, who got his start in the DIRT Series, will be on hand to offer advice as Mason takes to the dirt for the first time. "Mason is a great racer I have no doubt that he will figure out the techniques needed to race on dirt in no time. I am really looking forward to helping him out this weekend".
